Rental Policies

Payments & Deposits

 

Payment for the rental is due at the time of booking.

 

DJ’s Rentals requires a cash or credit/debit card preauthorized* security and damage deposit for all rentals. The amount depends on the value of the rented asset. In addition, a fuel cash deposit or credit/debit card preauthorization* in the amount of $100 will be held for all gas-powered asset rentals. These deposits/preauthorizations* will be processed prior to the rental period on the day of the reservation. 

 

After all assets have been returned, DJ’s staff will assess for any damages or missing items, and immediately refuel all gas-powered assets. The fuel charge will be adjusted to reflect the amount of fuel used. The security and damages deposit will be adjusted according to any missing items or damages at the discretion of DJ’s staff, or adjusted to $0 if all assets are returned without damages. Once all adjustments have been made, a final charge will be processed and an itemized receipt emailed to the customer. Fuel usage and/or damages/missing items in excess of the deposit are the customer’s responsibility and will be charged to the card on file.

 

*Please note that the authorization may show up as a pending transaction or authorization on your card’s transaction ledger, and may remain for up to 1 week after the date of the reservation, after which it will automatically be removed. The authorization will show up as a separate line item from the final charge on the transaction ledger.

 

For all cash transactions, customers must provide cash for the full amount of all reservation fees, taxes, and deposits. The same process will be followed for fuel and damage charges, and any remaining deposits will be returned in cash after the rental period.

 

Liabilities & Responsibilities

 

Customers are responsible for the health and safety of themselves and their passengers/guests as well as compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. DJ’s Rentals is not responsible for any injuries or damages to DJ’s customers and assets or other people or property by DJ’s assets during the customer’s rental period. 
 

The customer assumes all liability and responsibility for any theft, loss, or damages caused to or by DJ’s Rentals property, as well as any injuries to themselves or others. If DJ’s management determines that theft, loss, or damages were incurred during the rental period, the customer will be charged for the rescue fees, repair costs, administrative fees, and lost revenue. If you or your insurance cannot cover the aforementioned, DO NOT RENT FROM DJ’s Rentals. 
 

The customer(s) agree to act in good faith and avoid any reckless actions that could endanger themselves, others, or any property belonging to DJ’s or others. No one who is under the influence of drugs or alcohol may operate DJ's rented property. Any customer who is reasonably suspected of violating this rule will be reported to the authorities, denied future service from DJ's Resort & Rentals, and will not be eligible for a refund or credit. 

Any and all operators of motorized vehicles must possess a valid unrestricted driver’s license and insurance. Anyone with a restricted learner’s permit or a restricted minor’s permit may only operate a jet ski while accompanied by an adult 18 years+ with a valid unrestricted operator’s license, but may not operate any boats/pontoons. 
 

Customers and their passengers agree that they are in a healthy condition suitable for the activities associated with the rental equipment and assume all responsibility and liability for any medical events that may occur during their rental period. 
 

Cancellation Policy

 

Cancellations made within 30 days of the reservation date are not automatically eligible for a full refund. If the customer is unable to make their reservation date, they may reschedule for a later date (no later than Labor Day of the year following the initial reservation, excluding holidays, and with at least a 24 hour notice), or they may request DJ’s to make their rented asset available in the rentable inventory, and if another customer books that asset, then the original customer may be eligible for a refund up to 75% of the amount paid excluding applicable taxes.

 

No-Shows

 

If the customer fails to show up for their reservation without a 24 hour notice, they will not be eligible for a refund. At the discretion of DJ’s staff, the customer may be eligible to reschedule the reservation or receive a credit, although these options are not guaranteed and are subject to product availability.

 

Rental Period

 

DJ’s regular business hours are from 9am to 5pm. All asset rentals must be picked up/delivered and picked up/returned within those hours, unless otherwise agreed upon between the customer and DJ’s staff. 

 

Pets

 

We do allow house trained dogs on the boats with notice ahead of the reservation. The customer assumes all responsibility and liability for the animal during the rental period. Any damages or messes caused by the animal will be assessed upon return of the rental and subject to fees withheld from the security deposit at the discretion of DJ’s staff. We prefer smaller dogs, although all sizes are allowed, and strongly encourage customers to keep animals off of the upholstery and/or keep a barrier such as a blanket or towel covering any upholstery that the pet is on.
